Walking Tall Classic 2007

The 2007 Walking Tall Classic was held Saturday, August 4 Ellie West, age 3, of Mayfield, Ky. was of the younger participants.
Even the stick horses made an apperance.

Fashion’s Trademark, pictured above, owned by Jerry and Judy Sweat of Selmer and trained by Wright Stables of Reagan, TN, won the 3 & 4-Year-Old Racking Class at the Walking Tall Classic last Saturday night.
The horse was ridden by Casey Wright.
“We would like to thank all the hard working people that helped put on such a fantastic show,” said Jerry Sweat. “Malcolm and Ann Hudson and the Adamsville Parks and Recreation Department did a super job. We would also like to congratulate other winners from McNairy County, Hunter Kiestler, Lynn Smith and Donna Bell.”
There were a total of 186 entries in this year’s event.
2007 Walking Tall Classic a success

The weather was rather warm, but it didn’t stop a large crowd from attending the annual Walking Tall Classic horse show in Adamsville. Horses from TN, AL, KY, MS, MO, AR and several locally were shown. There were 190 entries and an estimated crowd of 800 to 1,000 people. There were many former champions that entered the show ring as well as contenders for the 2007 World Celebration Championship. Every class was filled with outstanding horses. The grounds drew much praise from trainers, riders, and spectators alike. Casey Wright of Reagan, TN took home the “Big Stick” and the blue ribbon in the Championship Stake Class riding “Armed with an Alibi” owned by Clyde and Grace Robertson of Faulkner, MS. Other local winners were:
Joe Clift from Savannah, TN riding Pusher Perfect Score in Amateur Owned and Trained Walking Class.
Donna Bell from Bethel Springs, TN riding All Colors Diamond Back in Spotted Saddle Class.
Casey Wright riding for Jerry and Judy Sweat from Selmer, TN on Fashion’s Trademark won in the open 3 & 4-Year Old Racking Class.
The show committee would like to thank each and every person that gave unselfishly of their time and efforts in making the show a success.
